Using the example of copper and aluminium, the following two animations illustrate how resource and greenhouse gas savings are calculated.

How many raw materials are extracted from the earth to produce 1 tonne of primary copper? And how many resources are required to produce 1 tonne of recycled copper? It also shows which steps are necessary for processing primary and secondary aluminium and how much greenhouse gas is generated and avoided in the process.
